Crossroads Caring for Life has been recognised by Best Companies as one of the UK’s leading places to work in 2025, achieving World Class status. We’ve been named a Top 5 Charity and a Top 10 Employer in the East of England - achievements that truly belong to our amazing team. 

This recognition reflects what we see every day: compassionate, dedicated people supporting unpaid carers and their loved ones across Hertfordshire with kindness, skill and heart.

Supporting carers when they need it most

This recognition comes at a time when unpaid carers are under increasing pressure. Across the UK, millions of people provide care for loved ones - often while balancing their own health, work and family responsibilities.

Demand for community-based care continues to grow. Earlier this year, we were awarded the Helping You Care (HYC) contract by Hertfordshire County Council, allowing us to provide 12 hours of fully funded care to unpaid carers in North Herts waiting for a formal Carers Assessment. This support can be a lifeline for local families -offering breathing space at a time of real need. 

To meet growing demand, we’re recruiting Support Workers across North, East and West Hertfordshire.
