Crossroads named World Class place to work
We’re incredibly proud to share some wonderful news...
Celebrating World Class recognition - proud smiles all around!
Crossroads Caring for Life has been recognised by Best Companies as one of the UK’s leading places to work in 2025, achieving World Class status. We’ve been named a Top 5 Charity and a Top 10 Employer in the East of England - achievements that truly belong to our amazing team.
This recognition reflects what we see every day: compassionate, dedicated people supporting unpaid carers and their loved ones across Hertfordshire with kindness, skill and heart.
Crossroads is driven by our people
Our teams work across communities, supporting families who rely on us for care, respite and reassurance. Their commitment doesn’t stop at delivering excellent care - it’s about building trust, dignity and connection with every family we support.
We’re especially proud that 97% of our staff say they feel proud to work at Crossroads. That pride comes from knowing their work matters, and from being part of a supportive, values-driven organisation that puts wellbeing first.
Delighted with the result, our HR Manager Aimee says: “These results reflect the dedication of our teams across Hertfordshire who support unpaid carers and their loved ones every day.
“Their compassion and commitment drive both our services and our supportive workplace culture. I’m incredibly proud of what they achieve.”
Supporting carers when they need it most
This recognition comes at a time when unpaid carers are under increasing pressure. Across the UK, millions of people provide care for loved ones - often while balancing their own health, work and family responsibilities.
Jeremy Colman, Chair of Trustees at Crossroads, says: “Our people rise to the challenge every day, and their dedication makes Crossroads a true lifeline for local families.”
Demand for community-based care continues to grow. Earlier this year, we were awarded the Helping You Care (HYC) contract by Hertfordshire County Council, allowing us to provide 12 hours of fully funded care to unpaid carers in North Herts waiting for a formal Carers Assessment. This support can be a lifeline for local families -offering breathing space at a time of real need.
To meet growing demand, we’re recruiting Support Workers across North, East and West Hertfordshire.
Our roles are ideal for people looking for:
• Meaningful, rewarding work
• A supportive employer that values wellbeing
• Training and development
• The chance to make a real difference in the local community
Whether you’re experienced in care or looking for a new direction, we’ll support you every step of the way.
