Pay: £13.05 - £16.35 per hour
Contract: Zero-hour + Guaranteed Hours contracts available, based on your availability
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available, including evenings and alternate weekends
We're currently recruiting Support Workers across several areas of Hertfordshire. Opportunities are available in:

You will be expected to travel up to 10 miles from home in any direction.

About the Role
We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Support Workers to join our Homecare and Respite teams. We can offer contracted hours based on your availability and the number of days you are able to work each week, providing stability and a regular income. Pay Rates
Respite Visits:
·       £13.05 - £13.65 per hour
Homecare Visits:
·       £14.35 per hour (Monday to Friday, 7am - 6pm)
·       £14.85 per hour (Monday to Friday, 6pm - 10pm)
·       £15.35 per hour (Weekends)
·       £16.35 per hour (Bank Holidays)

What You'll Be Doing
·       Supporting older and disabled adults with physical disabilities, long-term health conditions or mental health needs
·       Building meaningful relationships with regular clients
·       Providing a minimum of 30-minute visits, allowing time to deliver quality care without rushing
·       Providing companionship and practical support to help people remain independent at home
·       Supporting clients with daily living activities such as grocery shopping and collecting prescriptions
·       Delivering person-centred support tailored to individual needs
·       Taking clients out in the community including their favourite garden centres, cafes and local walks
·       Providing dignified personal care including continence support, washing and dressing
·       Occasional domestic duties including vacuuming, laundry and dusting

What We're Looking For
Essential
·       A caring, compassionate and reliable approach
·       Good communication and people skills
·       A willingness to learn and develop
·       Availability to work alternate weekends and some evenings until 10pm
·       A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
·       United Kingdom work authorisation (unfortunately we cannot offer sponsorship at this time)
Desirable
·       Previous care experience desirable but not essential (full paid training provided)

We are looking for kind, approachable people to give some of their time to a lovely family to help a carer have a break at home and spend time with a loved one
You can give as much or as little time as you like and can stop anytime with some notice so we can keep helping the family.
This person you would be supporting is still independent but needs some help at home.
Task may include;
- Spending time with, chatting to and befriending someone at home
- Playing games- Card/board or otherwise.
- Engaging with someone's hobbies.
- offering drinks and snacks if needed
Please note that you would not be supporting anyone with going to the bathroom or medication or moving somebody.
What we are you looking for in a volunteer…
- Kind hearted people who would be happy to spend time with someone who need a bit of support.
- Able to commit to at least 2 hours a fortnight.
- Not experience needed, we are happy to support you as long as you are willing.
We will provide training and support and always have someone to contact.
This can work well if you want to get some experience in care or want to give something back to your local community.
The break you will give a carer will be such a help to them and there is a real sense of pride and achievement in doing something wonderful.
Practical considerations
- We look to pair people with someone close to them but being able to drive is helpful although not 100% necessary.
- You will have all travel expenses reimbursed and have access to one to one and phone support.
- While you can stop at any time, we would like to have a few weeks' notice if possible so we can continue to support the clients.
