Crossroads Homecare Service Achieves PAMMS Excellence in Key Areas

We are delighted to announce that our Homecare service has achieved an overall Good rating in its latest PAMMS (Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution) inspection, with several areas receiving the highest possible rating of Excellent.

As a Hertfordshire-based not-for-profit charity, we are committed to providing high-quality domiciliary care that puts people, not profits, first. These latest inspection results recognise the dedication of our teams and the positive impact they make in the lives of the people we support every day.

The charity’s Homecare service achieved a 97% positive result

97% positive results across the assessment

The assessment was carried out by the Provider Monitoring and Assurance Team at Hertfordshire County Council using the PAMMS quality framework, which is designed to review the standard of care provided by adult social care services. The inspection assesses key areas including safety, leadership, workforce development and the overall quality of support delivered to people receiving care.

In our latest assessment, we achieved 66 positive ratings out of 68 assessed areas, representing an impressive 97% positive result.

This achievement reflects our commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care that enables people to remain independent and live well in their own homes.

Excellence in Safeguarding

One of our proudest achievements was receiving an Excellent rating for Safeguarding, one of the five core assessment domains.

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. This rating recognises our strong culture of protecting and promoting the wellbeing of the people we support, as well as the robust processes we have in place to ensure they feel safe, respected and empowered.

For individuals and families looking for reliable domiciliary care in Hertfordshire, this result provides further reassurance that quality, dignity and safety remain our highest priorities.

Investing in our care teams

The inspection also highlighted our commitment to staff development, awarding an Excellent rating in an area linked to training compliance.

As a not-for-profit care provider, we continually invest in our people, ensuring colleagues have access to the training, skills and support they need to deliver exceptional care. This investment helps us maintain high standards and provide the best possible outcomes for those who use our services.

A community-focused approach

Choosing a care provider is one of the most important decisions a person and their family can make. As a charity, we are proud to offer a different approach.

Unlike commercial providers, any surplus we generate is reinvested back into our services, our staff and the communities we support. This enables us to focus on delivering the highest quality care, investing in continuous improvement and supporting people to live independently for longer in the place they call home.

These inspection results demonstrate the strength of our values-led approach and our ongoing commitment to providing safe, compassionate and high-quality care.

We are incredibly proud of our teams and grateful for the trust placed in us by the individuals and carers we support across Hertfordshire.
