What is the Day Centre?

Our Day Centre is a cosy building nestled behind some shops in Stevenage. Rather than a sprawling community space the Day Centre has a home-from-home living room atmosphere.

Our Activity Club is a community service that provides support, social activities and care for adults living with physical or learning disabilities, dementia or mental health needs.

The Activity Club is run by our enhanced DBS-checked Support Workers trained in person-centred care, with the help of some friendly volunteers to make a safe, caring place to have fun, make friends and have care needs met in full.

Anyone can apply to join our group - register your interest today and we’ll be in touch soon.

What to expect

The club buzzes each week with games, crafting kits and a variety of activities to suit different interests and abilities. While each session follows a theme, activities are always adapted to the preferences and capabilities of the members, ensuring everyone can enjoy and participate at their own pace.

Think of this place as a living room away from home - an inclusive, welcoming space where staff and club members help to decorate throughout the year to celebrate seasonal and special events. Every detail is designed with care at its heart, featuring furniture and amenities tailored to provide comfort and accessibility.

There’s a kitchen area stocked with refreshments, alongside a breakout space for those seeking a quieter moment. An office is also available, offering a supportive environment where carers can find advice and assistance.

Carers are more than welcome to join in the fun or use the time as a chance to rest and recharge - the choice is yours, allowing for flexibility that suits your needs and that of the individual you care for.
